.The Streator Family YMCA is launching a large-scale construction project to improve our facility and offer more to our members and the community at large. In planning this effort, we have taken everything into consideration. When all is said and done, we will be able to offer the Streator community a more current, up-to-date facility ideal for numerous activities. Everything from batting/pitching cages for baseball/softball to a multi-purpose room for child daycare and senior citizen activities will be housed by this facility. We have divided this undertaking into two distinct phases. But we cannot complete this vision on our own. please take a moment to review the plans and imagine a better community. Then we hope you will consider becoming a part of this exciting venture! |

PHASE ONE: The YMCA will refurbish the existing facility to improve the functionality of the services currently offered. THis make-over will update the aquatics facility, incuding new pool filters and humidifiers. The pool area and locker rooms will be renovated, and new excercise equipment will be purchased. Upon completion of Phase One, Phase Two will be implemented. |
PHASE TWO: The Y addition in this second phase will involve the creation of a gymnasium, a multi-purpose room, and two batting pitching cages each. The space will house a daycare center for children, an area for senior citizens, and a kitchen/concession stand that will be accessible from the outside for games and events. Once the gym is completed, new aerobics clases, sports clinics, will be implemented for our growing membership.
