The Capital Campaign

The Streator Family YMCA is launching a large-scale construction project to improve our facility so that we can offer more to our members and our community. Once this project is completed, your YMCA will offer the Streator community a much more current, up-to-date facility which will be ideal for numerous activities. The updated facility will house everything from batting and pitching cages for baseball/softball to a multi-purpose room for child daycare and senior citizen activities. We have divided this undertaking into two distinct phases.

PHASE ONE:

The YMCA will refurbish the existing facility to improve the functionality of the services currently offered. This make-over will update the aquatics facility, incuding new pool filters and humidifiers. The pool area and locker rooms will be renovated, and new excercise equipment will be purchased. Upon completion of Phase One, Phase Two will be implemented.

PHASE TWO:

The second phase will involve the construction of a gymnasium, a multi-purpose room, two batting cages, and two pitching cages. The facility will house a daycare center for children, an area for senior citizens, and a kitchen/concession stand that will be accessible from the outside for games and events. Once construction on the gym is completed, new aerobics classes and sports clinics will be implemented for our growing membership.
