Join us for our annual Memorial Day 5K, hosted by and benefitting the Streator Family YMCA. All levels of runners are welcome from advanced to novice. Walkers are also welcome. 

This year’s race takes place on Monday May 25th, 2026 at 8:00 AM. 

Registration Opens March 15th!

Course Information

  • Course starts and finishes in front of the Streator Family YMCA: 710 Oakley Avenue, Streator, IL 61364.
  • Certified distance, chip timed, traffic control, computerized race results with results posted on Starved Rock Runners website.
  • Racing Expectations will DJ and act as Master of Ceremonies.
  • Plenty of parking. Course is a nice mix of residential, country landscape, shade trees and open air. Run over the Otter Creek bridge and challenge yourself to the hill on this out-and-back course.
  • There are two water stops on the course. Water bottles also available before and after the race with fruit and breakfast bars provided after.

Awards

  • The Overall Male & Female Finishers, & the Top Streator male and female finishers will be awarded.
  • Additional medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in each age bracket.
  • Age Divisions: (one each for male & female) 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over.
  • Awards will be given at the conclusion of the race.

Registration

  • Registration opens March 15th. Paper registration forms will also be available at the Streator Family YMCA front desk.
  • Sign up by May 10th to guarantee your free t-shirt size (Softstyle Gildan).  
  • Day-of race day registration & packet pick-up takes place from 6:45am – 7:45 AM at the Streator YMCA.
