The Streator Family YMCA features an indoor pool which is used year-round for swim lessons, therapeutic water exercise classes, open swim, lap swim, pool parties, our Swim-O-Rama program, and more! Our pool is also used by community organizations including OSF physical therapy, local schools, Streator Unlimited, Illinois Valley Brain Injury Clubhouse, and the Streator Fire Department. Our pool is always monitored by American Red Cross certified lifeguards.
The Streator YMCA offers group swim lessons for all ages. A natural progression promotes safe and effective swimming for all ages—from infants learning to love the water to advanced swimmers perfecting their strokes.
All ages and skills are welcome. Lessons are $35.00 / hour for members and $50.00 / hour for participants. Punch cards and discounts are also available.
Silver Sneakers Splash and Aqua Fit offer low impact movements in the shallow end of the pool. Advanced reservations are required to attend. Class reservations open 1 week in advance. Classes are free to members.
Pool parties include one hour in the pool for just you and your guests! Rental is good for up to 25 swimmers. Children 12 and under must have adult supervision on deck. Children using USCG approved floatation devices must be within an arm’s reach of an adult in the water at all times. Children 2 and under are limited to 30 minutes in the pool.
Our Little Steps Learning preschool program offers swim lessons as part of its curriculum. Students receive the opportunity to swim once a week during the school year. This program is open to children ages 3-5 years old.
