Facility Policies

We are proud to offer 24 hour access to our Upstairs Wellness Center for members ages 18+ years old. This area features treadmills, a stair machine, weight machines, ellipticals, stationary bikes, free weight stations, and more.

Before Accessing the 24 Hour Access Facility:

  • Our 24 Hour Facility is open for members with access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Our 24 Hour Facility is open to our members ages 18 years and older.
  • To gain access to the 24 Hour Facility, members must visit our Welcome Desk and complete the appropriate waiver and agreement. You must visit us during business hours to complete this. Hours are Monday-Friday 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • Guest passes do not include 24 hour access.

The Streator Family YMCA is proud to offer two outdoor pickleball courts. The courts were entirely funded by donations in honor of Ralph Sterrett, former CEO/Executive Director of the Streator Family YMCA from 1993-2011. The pickleball courts officially opened in the spring of 2023. 

  • Courts are open seasonally (typically April – October), weather permitting. Courts are open to members during regular operating hours.
  • Members ages 18+ wanting to use the courts on the weekend outside of operating hours may do so by checking out a key for free at our front desk. (Limited number of keys available.) Keys must be returned by the following Monday. Failure to return a key on time will result in a $5.00 late fee. If a key is lost, the member will be charged a $20.00 key replacement fee.

The Streator Family YMCA features a 6 lane indoor pool which is used year-round for swim lessons, therapeutic water exercise classes, open swim, lap swim, pool parties, our Swim-O-Rama program, and more!

Our pool is also used by community organizations including OSF physical therapy, local schools, Streator Unlimited, Illinois Valley Brain Injury Clubhouse, and the Streator Fire Department. Our pool is always monitored by American Red Cross certified lifeguards.

Inclement Weather Policy

The Streator Family YMCA pool may be closed in the event of severe weather. Staff reserve the right to close the indoor pool if severe weather is in the direct vicinity and poses a significant threat to the safety of members and staff. Following a thunderstorm, the pool will reopen 30 minutes after the last observed lightning strike within 8 miles and/or last sound of thunder.

All programs and activities scheduled during inclement weather are subject to cancellation, modification, or delays.

Youth Admission and Supervision Policy

All youth members and guests under 18 years of age require a parent or legal guardian to accompany them on their first visit to the Streator Family YMCA to complete paperwork and sign waivers on their behalf. Once this is complete, youth guests and members age 13 years and older may visit us without a parent or guardian anytime.
