Our Little Steps Learning program provides a structured and nurturing environment for young minds to learn, grow, and thrive by assisting in the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each student. Your child will have the opportunity to take “little steps” with the Y as they learn, play, swim, and socialize with other students. Classes follow the Streator Elementary School District 44 schedule for days off.

• All students must have an active Streator YMCA membership to enroll in the program.
• Registration for the following month must be completed by the 15th of the current month. (Ex: Registration for November must be completed by October 15th.)
• Students must be fully potty trained.
• Enrollment is ongoing until February 15th, 2027

Teachers Miss Clara and Miss Alejandra have backgrounds in early childhood education and years of experience teaching and enriching young minds. We have welcomed Miss Rhea as our Work Program Employee to assist in our preschool room. Our Early Learning staff are trained in childcare, mandated reporting, CPR, and first aid.
