Before & After School Care

Before & After School Care is a partnership with area schools and the Streator Family YMCA to provide care before and after school hours for students.

Participating Schools

Kimes School

K-1st Grade
Held at Streator Family YMCA. Bussing is available.
Before Care: M-F begins at 7:00 AM
After Care: M-F ends at 5:00 PM
20 students maximum per day per program
Registration is good for entire school year. (No daily drop-ins.)

Centennial School

2nd-4th Grade
Held at Streator Family YMCA. Students will be escorted by Y staff to school.
Before Care: M-F begins at 7:00 AM
After Care: M-F ends at 5:00 PM
25 students maximum per day per program
Registration is good for entire school year. (No daily drop-ins.)

There is no Before Care or After Care on days when school is not in session. There is no After Care on half days. Registration must be processed at least 2 school days in advance of the child’s first day of participation.

YMCA Member Weekly Fees

A one-time $25.00 registration fee is due for all students upon registration. All weekly fees are due by the first school attendance day of each week.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to families in need. No one is turned away for inability to pay initial fees. Contact: [email protected] for more details.

Sibling Discount

We offer a sibling discount of 20% off 2+ children in the same household who are registered for at least three days per week. You must contact the YMCA to register using the sibling discount.
