Group Swim Lessons
The Streator Family YMCA offers group swim lessons for all ages. A natural progression promotes safe and effective swimming for all ages—from infants learning to love the water to advanced swimmers perfecting their strokes. Led by certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
- Water Babies (6 months – 2 years)
- Bubble Buddies (3 – 4 Years)
- Beginner Swim Lessons (5+ Years)
- Intermediate Swim Lessons (5+ Years)
A) Water Babies / Bubble Buddies
Ages: 6 months – 4 years
Learn to enjoy the water safely with your infant or toddler. Parents will also learn about water safety topics. An adult must accompany each child in the water.

B) Beginner Swim Lessons
Ages: 5+ Years Old
Learn to be safe, in and around the water. Swimmers will build basic skills (e.g. floating, breathing) and progress toward swimming fundamentals (forward movement).

C) Intermediate Swim Lessons
Ages: 5+ Years Old
Swimmers will develop fundamentals for strokes and safety skills, as well as explore skill practice in deeper water. Emphasis will be placed on stroke development and water stamina.
